Designed to demonstrate that you can safely handle and fire a handgun.
Duration: 30 minutes
Location: must be conducted at an approved shooting range.
Ammo not included
Fees are non-refundable and do not include the state application fee.
Class completion doesn’t guarantee LTC approval (Texas DPS decision).
Important:
Firearm cannot have a laser or optic
Must bring 50 rounds of brass-cased ammo
A physical copy of your LTC 101 form (online class completion)
Must be 21 years old or 18 for active-duty military
